Hey guys! I just recently opened and Etsy! I am the owner of PastelShadows on Etsy.com. PastelShadows on etsy.

I'd love it if you'd let your friends and family know!
I'm adding things everyday!
I relate to Eeyore from Whinnie the Pooh a lot. He's so sweet and cute. Then there are these little tails people can buy at places like Hot Topic or Spencers and wear them on their belt loops. So I chose to make one of Eeyore's tails! It's a simple pattern. These are great for children at Halloween or if you're like me; you just like looking cute in your everyday life c; If you use my pattern please let me see how you guys did!
Materials: Yarn in Blue, Black, White, and Pink. Scissors. 6mm crochet hook. Optional Pet/Wire Brush. Velcro. Yarn needle.
Abbreviations: Sc- Single crochet. Dc- Double crochet.
Row 1)In blue. Chain 9 and sc all the way back to the first chain. Chain 1, turn. Row 2) Sc in each stitch. Chain 2. Turn. Row 3 and on to desired length) Dc in each stitch. Chain 2. Turn. From here you want to start to decrease gradually until you have a point at the end.
The fur part of the tail: Black Wrap your black yarn around your hand about 50 or more times and cut so all pieces are the same length. Cut a longer piece of black yarn and tie it around the group of 50+ in the middle. Then take the yarn and push it through one of the areas in between your last few dc at the end of the tail, weave the yarn you tied in the middle through the blue part of the tail and tie it together so it wont fall out. Now if you want it to be more of a fuzzy texture, take a pet wire brush or a thick brush and brush through the yarn until you feel it get split apart and soften. Don't worry if you lose a lot of yarn in the process! Its expected!
The bow: I used this pattern here in pink. Bow Pattern! Simply attach the bow to the end of the tail with a yarn needle and extra yarn.
Button: White This is done in a round instead of a row. Rnd 1) 6 sc in a magic circle. Rnd 2) Increase in each stitch, fasten off. Attach to the top of the tail on the front with a yarn needle and extra yarn.
Belt loop attachment: Also blue. Row 1) Chain 7 and sc all the way back. Chain 1 and turn. Row 2) Sc in each stitch. Fasten off. Attach this to the back at the top of the tail with a yarn needle and extra yarn. Cut some Velcro and attach it to one end.
Oh goodness what have I done. I was supposed to make things to sell eventually and I just want to keep them all!
I've gotten into flower crowns and lace necklaces/chokers.
At the top you see I've used a white lace, it was quite thin. I attached three different thin pieces of black chain in equal distance from one another, two to make the layered effect and one to hold what looks a lot like a pendulum honestly. It has a rough rocky texture in the middle. The back is connected with two ribbon clasps, a lobster clasp, and a jump ring. Then we have a simple thick black chain and a teardrop pendant. Its a bronze like color and its filled with little light colored beads. Its so much fun to shake it around. On the bottom left is thicker black lace with a removable onyx like stone. This stone is wire wrapped and came with a little carved triangle. Then of course my flower crown! Isn't it beautiful! Just made from various faux leaves and flowers from any craft store (some dollar stores also carry fake flowers) Hot glue was used to attach them to the wire (which looks like vine) and I hot glued some little decoden gems on various places to give it that glam and glisten vibe. If you have any questions about how I create these pieces please let me know!
Hey there guys! I've found myself getting back into crafting slowly more and more each day. Oh how I've missed it all. I've been going through some rough patches in my life lately, all too much to go into detail. Though I'd like to say that this blog will be a good outlet for me to let all of you know how I'm doing and what I have been up to lately! I hope you're all as excited as I am!
